While operating these co-ed clubs, the founders of Pure Fitness for Women noted that women seem to be the most comfortable in the company of other women, and prefer 'women only' classes and female trainers. The company also realized that few, if any, women-only gyms offer the full spectrum of equipment and services offered at co-ed gyms, which led to the founding of Pure Fitness for Women.
